Articles of Faith

1.  We believe in God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit; referred to in the Holy Scriptures as the Godhead, and that these Three are One.

 

2.  We believe that the Old and New Testaments are the very word of God, and that they are the only rule of faith and practice. 

 

3.  We believe in the Divine inspiration and preservation of God’s Word, and that the Holy Scriptures are the record that God has given to His people.

 

4.  We believe that all were made sinners by the fall of Adam and that none is able to recover himself from his natural state of being dead in trespasses and sins.

 

5.  We believe that one must be born again, quickened, made alive in Christ, and that this is not by mankind’s will or works but is totally of the Lord.

 

6.  We believe that the Church is the only ecclesiastical authority on the earth; that the Lord Jesus Christ is the Head of the Church; that the form of government in the Church is congregational, each member having an equal voice in all things.

 

7.  We believe that baptism by immersion, the observance of the Lord’s Supper, and the washing of the saints’ feet are church ordinances to be observed by His people.

 

8.  We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of the one true and living God, and that He shall save His people from their sins; that He was crucified, that He died, that He was buried, that He rose again, and that He ascended into Heaven to the right hand of the Father.

 

9.  We believe that the Lord chose a people in Christ before the foundation of the world to be holy and without blame before Him in love.

 

10.  We believe that God has ordained that His people should walk in good works; that His people are called to good works; that we are to do justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with our God.
